As a fan of Tess Gerritsen I was looking forward to reading this 1st book of her new spy series and was not disappointed. I loved it. There are a lot of books coming out with the "older spies/detectives" mysteries at the moment, some better than others. Being Tess I shouldn't have worried, this is really good. Maggie is a retired CIA operative, living in a small town in Maine, running a chicken farm and keeping to herself other than meeting up with some old friends for a "book club". But as is often the case the past doesn't like to stay where it should. A body is dumped outside her home and it links back to a mission 16 years ago that went very wrong. I loved the characters in this and the tension really ratcheted up quickly. Read this in two days. Already looking forward to the next book in the series. (read less)
